SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical Emojis

In 2017, Nickelodeon premiered its first-ever Broadway musical, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical (SBM), featuring the world’s most iconic sponge. To promote the show across platforms, multiple campaigns were launched. In line with 2017’s social trends, over 50 musical-themed emojis were created to elevate SBM’s social presence.

How do you provide an emoji library that feels intuitive and natural to Nickelodeon designers and viewers on socials?
